“Death at the hands of police has not stopped. Since May 26, 2020 — the day after former officer Derek Chauvin killed Floyd — police have killed at least 223 Black people” These are the type of Images and videos that elicit collective actions . Social media made it possible for everyone to see, first-hand, what happened to George Floyd.    The video was shared by someone whom, by normal standard, would not be considered influential— 17-year-old Darnella Frazier, and viewed millions of times across the world. The public did not need to see the incident through the lens and filters of mainstream media or high-profiled Hollywood celebrities. The video offered resounding proof to indict Derek Chauvin and three other police officers involved, resulting in Mr. Chauvin’s arrest and prosecution. 2. The Insecurity Turbulence In Nigeria Heightened Less Than A Decade Ago, However The Injustice Meted On Citizens By The Police Force Spans Over Two Decades!

      The Silence Of The Nigerian Police Authority, The Executive, Legislative, And Even The Judiciary Was Deafening!

      Citizens Constantly Lived In Fear Of Those Who Vowed To Protect Them. This Worsened When The Uniformed Tyrants Called SARS were Unleashed!
      And As Always, The Intent Seemed Right- To Stem Armed Robbery, But The Reality Was Horrific As They Turned To Predators Who Made The Vulnerable Citizens Their Prey!

      #EndSARS!
      A Movement That Saw The Largest Number Of Nigerian Youths On The Streets, Demanding For Justice Over The Incessant Injustice Meted Out By SARS And The Total Overhaul Of The Police Force, Became The First Shot On The Bull's Eye!
      It Brought About An End To The Tyrany Of The Egocentric SARS, But Also Led To The Death Of Some #EndSARS Protesters, An Occurrence Denied By The Army Who Were Perpetrators Of This Crime!

      Recently, A Video Released By Sarah Ibrahim To The Lagos State Judicial Panel For Restitution Of SARS Related Abuses, Proved That Indeed There Were Live Bullets At The Scene, And People Certainly Lost Their Lives!
      While We Await More Investigation On This Matter, It Is Pertinent To Note That The Average Global Citizen Worries That Nigerians Suffer From Partial Amnesia, For Majority Of It's Crisis Would Have Been Averted If Nigerians Refused To Forget By Words And Actions!

      Injustices Like This Tell The World Just One Thing, "If They (Military) Can Eat Their Dogs, Why Can't We?"

      Injustices Like This Prove That Nigeria's Democracy Is Hanging Loosely On A Thread!
      If Unarmed Civilians Waving The Nation's Flag, Can Be Shot At, The Media Outlet Who Showcased The Truth Sanctioned, And Finally, The Witnesses Of This Mayhem Threatened, Some Silenced;
      You'd Just Want To Ask, Are Some Nigerians More Nigerian Than Other Nigerians??
